Android Devices Vulnerable to New ‘Sturnus’ Malware That Attacks Bank Apps, Bypass E2E Encryption: Report
Android devices are vulnerable to a newly identified Android Banking Trojan, called Sturnus, according to a report. The malware was found by MTI Security researchers. It is said to be targeting Android users primarily in the Southern and Central European countries. It is designed to give remote access to attackers, replicate banking apps' login pages to harvest banking credentials, and access end-to-end encrypted messages on WhatsApp, Telegram, and Signal. Moreover, it allows attackers to remotely turn the device screen blank.
