Android Smartphones Get Auto-Restart Security Feature With Latest Google Play Services Update
Google is rolling out a new Android security feature that automatically restarts smartphones left unlocked for three days to protect user data from unauthorised access. This functionality is also expected to arrive on Android tablets. The move mirrors Apple's 'Inactivity Reboot' feature, launched with iOS 18.1 in October 2024, which reboots unattended iPhones after a 72-hour period.
