Apple Expected to Pay 230 Percent Premium for iPhone 17 Pro RAM Chips In 2026: Report
Apple is reportedly exploring new deals with RAM suppliers as the price of the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Air's 12GB LPDDR5x RAM has increased exponentially. Primarily sourced from Samsung, the RAM was initially priced between $25 (about Rs. 2,200) and $29 (about Rs. 2,600) per unit when the “initial contract” was signed between Apple and Samsung, a tech blogger claims. However, the same now costs $70 (roughly Rs. 6,300) per unit, representing a jump of more than 230 percent.
