Apple’s first foldable iPhone is expected to be announced in the second half of 2026, but production challenges could delay wider availability until 2027, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. He says early yield issues and ramp-up difficulties may lead to limited supply through the end of 2026. Apple still plans to launch the device to enter the foldable market, even with low initial volumes. The foldable iPhone is expected to be expensive and feature a book-style design.
