Asia-Pacific markets mostly fell Friday as investors await details on the U.S. trade deals ahead of U.S. President Donald Trump’s deadline for higher tariffs next week.
In Japan, the Nikkei 225 tacked on 24.98 points, or 0.1%, to 39,810.88.
In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng faltered 153.88 points, or 0.6%, to 23,916.06.

In Shanghai, the CSI 300 gained 14.13 points, or 0.4%, to 3,982.30
In Korea, the Kospi index dropped 61.99 points, or 2%, to 3,054.28.
In Singapore, the Straits Times index hesitated 5.95 points, or 0.2%, to 4,013.62.
In Taiwan, the Taiex index tumbled 165.47 points, or 0.7%, to 22,547,50.
In New Zealand, the NZX 50 recovered 62.13 points, or 0.5%, to 12,766.60
In Australia, the ASX 200 poked higher 7.14 points, or 0.1%, to 8,602.97.
