Google Search App for Windows Launched With Spotlight-Like Features
Google is testing a new Windows search app through Search Labs that launches with Alt + Space to quickly search local files, Google Drive, and the web. It installs like Chrome, requires sign-in, and integrates Lens for screen-based image searches and translations. AI Mode handles complex queries, while users can switch between results like images, videos, and shopping, with light or dark themes. The app adds a resizable desktop search bar.
