Heron Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: HRTX) shares swooned early Friday. The Cary, North Carolina-based concern, a commercial-stage biotechnology company, today announced financial results for the three months ended June 30, 2025.

The company generated Q2 2025 Net Revenue of $37.2 million and year-to-date revenue of $76.1 million; reaffirmed 2025 Net Revenue Guidance of $153 million - $163 million.

Delivered record year-to-date 2025 Adjusted EBITDA of $7.9 million, raised full-year 2025 Adjusted EBITDA Guidance from $4.0 million - $12.0 million to $9.0 million - $13.0 million

Heron's Acute Care franchise delivered revenue growth of 55.5% year-over-year in Q2 2025 and 70.5% year-over-year for the first half of 2025, reflecting continued commercial execution and expanding adoption across the portfolio.

ZYNRELEF, the company’s flagship product, is reportedly the first and only extended-release dual-acting local anesthetic that delivers a fixed-dose combination of the local anesthetic bupivacaine and a low dose of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug meloxicam.

HRTX shares faded 57 cents, or 30.7%, to $1.28.
