Apple is reportedly planning to do this to save costs. Moreover, these downgrades are said to bring the standard iPhone 18 model closer to the rumoured low-cost handset in the series, iPhone 18e. This comes as a report recently highlighted that the company is planning to launch the iPhone 18 at the same price as its predecessor, despite the soaring memory prices.
