Apple’s C1X model, which is found on the iPhone Air, “suddenly” malfunctioned, a Reddit user complains. The user said that, on Thursday, he woke up to find his iPhone Air not receiving cellular reception. Upon running mobile diagnostics, the user found that a hardware issue had been detected. They claimed that the phone had no physical damage. Apple launched the iPhone Air in September 2025, claiming the phone to be the thinnest iPhone model ever. The handset features Apple’s C1X modem, which is claimed to be faster and more efficient than the C1 modem found on the iPhone 16e.
