iPhone Shipments From India Cross $50 Billion Under PLI Scheme, IT Minister Says
Apple has shipped iPhone models worth $50 billion (about Rs. 4.51 Lakh Crore) since FY22, when it was onboarded the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme, Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said. According to a report, the Cupertino-based tech giant managed to ship Indian made iPhone models about $16 billion (about Rs. 1.44 Lakh Crore) in the first nine months of the FY25. The minister also highlighted that electronics are now among the top three commodities exported out of the country.
