Mistral Releases Magistral, Its First-Ever Reasoning AI Models With Transparent Chain-of-Thought
Magistral, Mistral’s first-ever reasoning-focused large language models (LLMs), have been released. The Paris-based artificial intelligence (AI) firm has released two variants of Magistral — an open-source model named Small and an enterprise-focused model named Medium. Both feature multi-step reasoning and visible chain-of-thought (CoT). The open-source model can be downloaded via Hugging Face.
