Qualcomm Acquires Augentix to Expand Smart Camera Portfolio and Insight Platform
Qualcomm has acquired Augentix, a maker of low-power ISPs and multimedia chipsets, to strengthen its Insight Platform and expand its edge AI camera offerings. The company says the deal will help deliver secure, scalable camera solutions for markets such as India, where demand is rising amid rapid digital infrastructure growth. Augentix’s technology will support a wider range of smart-camera designs and become a core part of Qualcomm’s platform.
