Qualcomm Announces the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Chipset: Features, Specifications
Qualcomm has introduced the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, a chipset positioned below the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 but offering major improvements over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Built on a 3 nm process, it features Oryon CPU cores at up to 3.8GHz, an Adreno 840 GPU, and the X80 5G modem. Qualcomm claims gains of 36 percent in CPU performance, 11 percent in GPU output, and 46 percent in AI tasks. The chip will debut in the upcoming OnePlus 15R handset.
