Samsung has reportedly explained that delays to Google Play system updates on Galaxy smartphones are intentional and linked to internal software validation. The clarification follows user reports of outdated Play system versions despite recent Android security patches. Samsung told a German publication it paused these updates during new device launches and major One UI releases to avoid compatibility issues. The company said updates should resume in January 2026 and does not consider the delay a security risk.
