Snapdragon W5+ Gen 2, W5 Gen 2 Smartwatch Chips With Satellite Connectivity Unveiled; to Debut on Pixel Watch 4
Snapdragon W5+ Gen 2 and Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 chips were launched by Qualcomm on Wednesday. The new chipsets designed for smartwatches come with satellite support, allowing users to send and receive messages via satellite when outside of cellular and Wi-Fi coverage areas. It is leveraging Skylo’s Narrowband Non-Terrestrial Network (NB-NTN).
