SpaceX Cleared for Starship Flight 9 Launch After FAA Safety Review

The FAA has given SpaceX the green light to launch Starship Flight 9 following a full safety review of the March 6 Flight 8 anomaly. The upcoming launch is set for no earlier than May 27 at 7:30 p.m. EDT from Starbase, Texas. Notably, SpaceX will reuse the Super Heavy booster from Flight 7. Due to debris from earlier missions, the FAA has expanded the flight’s hazard zone to 1,600 nautical miles to ensure public and airspace safety. Starship remains key to SpaceX's long-term lunar and Martian missions.
