Spotify Launches Real-Time Listening Activity and Request to Jam Feature
Spotify has introduced two new Messages features, Listening activity and Request to Jam, to make music sharing more social. Listening activity lets users share what they are playing in real time with connected contacts, while Request to Jam allows Premium users to invite others into shared listening sessions. Free users can join Jams when invited. The features are rolling out on iOS and Android in select markets, with wider availability expected by early February, and are limited to users aged 16 and older.
