WhatsApp Blocks AI Firms From Offering Chatbot Access via WhatsApp Business API
WhatsApp has updated its Business Solution policy to ban third-party artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot providers from the platform. The changes will come into force early next year. It will effectively stop OpenAI, Perplexity, among other AI assistant companies from offering their services on the instant messaging app. This move will make Meta AI assistant the sole AI chatbot on WhatsApp, potentially thwarting competition.
