Natural Grocers Pulls Ahead on Product News

Natural Grocers (NYSE:NGVC) shares advanced Friday. The company boasting a status as the nation's leading family-operated organic and natural grocery retailer, has expanded its house brand cheese line with five new organic varieties. The new additions offer even more ways to enjoy premium quality at an Always AffordableSM Price, with the same values-driven sourcing and craftsmanship that define the Natural Grocers® Brand.
The five new cheeses are available exclusively at Natural Grocers stores nationwide. Customers can expect delicious, organic flavor in every bite and the satisfaction of supporting a brand committed to doing things differently.
Friday’s news release pointed to new varieties of cheese, including three Organic Cheese Blocks (Havarti, Mild and Medium Cheddar), plus Organic Medium Cheddar Cheese Slices and Organic Sharp Cheddar Cheese Shreds. Like all Natural Grocers Brand cheeses, the five new varieties are certified organic, made with real California milk and crafted in accordance with Natural Grocers' pasture-based dairy standards. The blocks, slices and shreds are also non-GMO, and made with organic-approved microbial coagulate instead of animal rennet.
“Our house brand is more than just a label—it's a reflection of our family's values," said Raquel Isely, vice president of marketing at Natural Grocers. "We're proud to offer customers cheeses that are not only delicious and organic, but also reflect our support for small family farms, animal welfare and environmental sustainability."
NGVC shares took on 30 cents to $50.36.
