Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship phone chipset will be “extremely expensive”, according to a tipster. Expected to be named Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 Pro, the SoC will reportedly be built on a 2nm TSMC process, the same as the standard model, which could be marketed as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 6. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 Pro SoC is expected to power the rumoured Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra, which might launch next year. The expected price increase suggests that the smartphone could also be launched with a higher price tag.
