Xiaomi Leads Global Wearable Band Market in Q1 2025
Xiaomi emerged as the global leader in the wearable band market during the first quarter of 2025, according to a recent report by Canalys. The company’s strong performance was driven by the launch of updated Mi Band and Redmi Watch models earlier this year, resulting in a 44% year-over-year surge in shipments.
Apple, which previously held the top spot, slipped to second place, while Huawei, Samsung, and Garmin rounded out the top five. Xiaomi's rapid growth underscores its ability to compete aggressively in both pricing and innovation within the highly competitive wearables segment.
A separate consumer study cited in the report highlighted the most sought-after features in smartwatches: affordability, extended battery life, and comprehensive health tracking. Xiaomi’s recent product updates appear to align well with these preferences, offering value-driven devices without compromising on essential functions such as heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, and fitness analysis.
The latest rankings reflect shifting consumer priorities and increasing demand for accessible wearable tech with practical features, positioning Xiaomi for continued momentum in the months ahead.
