Xiaomi’s magnetic modular lens system for phones was first teased as a concept at MWC 2025. While Xiaomi remain tightlipped about its launch, a new leak says it has entered the mass-production planning phase. It is said to arrive later this year. The Xiaomi Modular Optical System integrates the optical capabilities of a professional camera with the computational photography ability of a mobile phone. It features an all-6G aspherical lens assembly with a f/1.4 large aperture combined with a 35mm focal length. Users can attach the lens to their phone, and then they can experience the plug-and-play camera powered by Xiaomi AISP.
