Google’s Gemini AI App Could Soon Start Showing Ads, Company Executive Reportedly Hints During Earnings Call
Google is planning to start showing commercials and sponsored results in the Gemini AI app, according to a report citing Google’s Chief Business Officer, Philipp Schindler. Gemini AI platform, the Mountain View-based tech giant’s conversational AI assistant, currently does not feature ads, unlike its primary competitor ChatGPT. During Google’s quarterly earnings conference call, the company executive reportedly said that currently, it is focusing on ads in Google Search in AI Mode. The company also shows ads below and above the AI Overviews results.
